The Normal Map node creates a normal map from terrains. When used in conjunction with the Details node, it can also create Detail Normals.

Properties

MethodThe method used for calculating normals.
8-pointUse a 8x8 matrix. Uses more references to calculate normals with higher accuracy. 4-pointUse a 4x4 matrix. Uses fewer references to calculate normals with basic accuracy.
WeightThe weight of the normals. Higher values create more intense normals. (Only available in 8-point Method)
HeightThe height of the normals. Higher values create more intense/taller normals. (Only available in the 4-point Method)
Flip YFlip the normals on the Y axis.
Flip XFlip the normals on the X axis.
