The Curvature node creates a mask where convex areas (such as sharp edges, protrusions, etc.) are selected. It is a very useful layer in texture creation, often as highlights applied on top of an existing texture map.


Node Properties

MinThe minimum range of the curvature.
MaxThe maximum range of the curvature.
FalloffThe soft falloff at the maximum edge.
Curvature Type
Horizontal : Favor horizontal curvature.
Vertical : Favor vertical curvature.
Average : Blend both horizontal and vertical curvatures evenly.
InvertInvert the map.

Examples
